The earliest evidence of crochet goes all the way back to Europe in the 19th century!
Crafts like crochet are so popular for many reasons but I am leaning towards being portable is one of them too. You can put a hook and skein of yarn in a bag and literally crochet anywhere! In the car, at the library, outside at the park, at the beach, move around to a different spot in your home, doctor's office waiting to be called. ANYWHERE 😀 That is why I have held on to crochet and keep coming back to it because I can work on projects anywhere and anytime I want. Plus, there are some amazing crochet hook makers that make crochet so much fun while looking at pretty hooks. ♥
And crochet hooks are not to be confused by two long needles. That would be knitting. You would be surprised how much that confusion still happens today!
It is a relatively low-cost hobby. You can find this material from craft stores, Walmart even in your local Tuesday Mornings, and sometimes yarn has been spotted at some Dollar Tree locations!
