Every little girl needs a flower headband am I right?!
This was a fun piece I made for Victoria since she loves dressing up and we thought it would be fun and cute! I think this can be switched to make a rainbow of flowers or keep as is for some fun Pumpkim patch fall photos!
This band of the crown is made up of 40 rows of ESC (extended Single Crochet) stitches. So it is nice a stretchy.
SIZING -
This pattern is for children with a head circumference between 18'' and 20.5''

MATERIALS:
5.50 mm Crochet Hook for the Headband- Sparkly handmade hook I used can be found at CrochicStyles.com (Collections vary)
Worsted #4 yarn.
- Green for the headband
3.50 mm Crochet Hook for the Sunflowers
-Brown and Yellow yarn for the Sunflowers
Yarn needle
Scissors
ABBREVIATIONS:
CH - chain
ST - stitch
SK - skip stitch
Sl ST - slip stitch
MC - Magic Circle/Magic Ring
ESC - Extended Single Crochet
SC - single crochet
DC - double crochet
YO - yarn over
Gauge:
Single crochet - 2 inches
7 stitches
8 rows
Notes:
Beginning chains do not count as a stitch, you will make your first stitch the same space as where you chained.
what is in between [ ] is all in the same stitch you are working on.
I used a tight stitch when working on the sunflower.
Pattern - Headband
Using Green yarn and 5.50 mm hook.
CH 7
Row 1 - ESC in the 2nd chain from the hook and in every stitch to then. Turn (6)
Row 2 - CH 1, ESC in every stitch, turn.
Row 3 - 40 - Repeat Row 2 for a total of 40 rows.
Fasten off and leave some yarn to sew both ends together and close the headband.
Join green yarn and single crochet evenly around the headband for a total of 40 SCs.
SlSt to the first SC made.
-Starting the last row to make the points. -
CH 1,
SC in the first st, [SC, DC, DC, SC] in the next st.
*SC in the next 2 sts,
[SC,DC,DC,SC] in the next st,Repeat from * ending with a point.
Sl st in the first SC made, fasten off, and weave all the ends.

Pattern - Sunflower Make 10 or as many or less as you like.
with brown and yellow yarn and 3.5 mm crochet hook.
-Starting with Brown-
Make an MC
CH 3
8 DC in MC
pull the yarn inside the MC to close the circle.
-Switch to yellow-
SlSt on the first DC made (Not the CH 3)
[CH 3, DC, CH 1, SlSt (top of DC just made), CH 3, SlSt] 1st petal madeSlSt in the next st,
[CH 3, DC, CH 1, SlSt (top of DC just made), CH 3, SlSt] 2st petal madeSlSt in the next st,
[CH 3, DC, CH 1, SlSt (top of DC just made), CH 3, SlSt] 3st petal madeSlSt in the next st,

Assembly:
Sew on the sunflowers around the crown as evenly as possible. It may seem that you will be overcrowding the headband but once the child wears it, it will stretch them apart.
